Fakat çok kültürlü ve çok etnik yapılı bir yer olan Sırbistan’ın kuzeyinde yer alan Voyvodina’da büyüdüm. Atalarımın bir kısmı Avusturya’dan diğer kısmı ise Rusya’dan gelmektedir. Dolayısıyla ailem Alman, Macar, Çek, Romanyalı, Hırvat, Sırp ve İtalya gibi çok çeşitli milletlerden oluşmaktadır. Tabii ki bu durum farklı dinden insanları da beraberinde getiriyor. Katolik, Ortodoks, Protestan ve Yahudi… Ben ailemde, ilk ve tek Müslümanlığı kabul eden kişiyim. 26 dil konuşulan ve çeşitli dinlerin var olduğu Voyvodina’da yaşadım. Bu zamana kadar ne benim ne ailem bu farklılıklara bir önyargısı olmuştur.
